Hi all,

Well it looks like our little girl will be here in 2008! Our official due date was January 11th 2009 but the docs have decided that they will induce me on the 29th if she doesn’t show before.

This past Wednesday we had our follow-up ultra-sound with the pediatric cardiologist who wanted the baby out ASAP…we then went to see my OB who surprised me when saying that I was already 2cms dilated and 50% effaced – he decided to admit be to the Royal Vic for an induction. I was attached to the monitor and they noticed that I was contracting every 5-6 minutes. I knew I was but there has been no pain yet so I didn’t think too much about it.

Anyways, the pediatrician at the Royal Vic didn’t want them to induce me yet…he wanted me to be over 37 weeks which will be this Sunday. So after one “wonderful” night at the hospital I was sent home.

So the story is as follows;
Monday we go for another ultra-sound with the cardiologist and go for a non-stress test – if there are issues they will induce that afternoon – if all OK…
On December 25th we go back to the hospital for another non-stress test – again if there are issues they will induce me – if all OK…
Scheduled inducement on December 29th! Unless of course she decides to come on her own…should make for a very interesting Holiday Season.

So 10 days maximum to go…

Baby Isabelle will most likely spend some time in the NICU due to the different health issues…but from all the ultra-sounds it looks like prognosis is good. Keep your fingers crossed for us.
